Over 7000 pigs are on this site, run by a husband wife team, Paul and Donna. The pigs arrived on farm weighing 9.25 kgs leaving the farm twelve weeks later at 58 kgs. Having eight different sources on farm, is always a challenge to produce good results whilst controlling disease challenges from the mixture of sources.
This couple always rise to the challenge producing an FCR of 1.77:1 with a daily live weight gain of 696 gms
Richard Gooding gave the award to Donna and Paul. Thanking them for all the hard work they put in last batch.
Sue is testament to hard work, her unit being a old piggery of over 40 years, proving that performance is achieved from the older farms as well as new state of the art piggeries, her pigs came in at 9 kgs and in 19 weeks achieved a exit weight of 117 kgs.
The FCR of the batch was 2.20:1 with a average daily live weight gain of 941 gms.
Kathryn Mutimer and Oliver Havers gave the award to Sue in recognition of a great batch and the hard work she had done to achieve the above results.
