Following the LAMMA show in January we at Pilgrim’s Europe are pleased to welcome two new young farming partners to the Pilgrim’s family at BQP.

One farm is a brand new build for 1000 pigs, the planners have been instructed to start and quality Equipment are booked in to access the site and get it on their books, hopefully pigs in late summer.
Planning has now been passed on the 3rd April, Start date for the work to be confirmed

The second site is a lovely poultry shed conversion, the farm sadly was culled out for bird flu on their fourth batch and the family cannot face the chance of doing it again. Though doing pigs with the risk of ASF is still a risk it is felt there is less of a chance of a farm cull with pigs.

No planning or change of use is necessary for this site, HSBC confirmed the loan on the 9th April for the conversion. Work starts on May 27
